I had another week of training classes consuming my life. Thankfully it's over. Time to really get back on track with the rest of my life. Unfortunately, I didn't pass the final certification. So it looks like I'm back in the need-a-job market.
My to-do list below is getting quite long because I never could find the time for these things. I guess I'll have plenty of time now!
Last Week's Goals
1. Begin our study of Florida History. I've pulled together quite a bit of information and plan to get going on this right away. We are going to study the "shell indians" this week. That would be the Calusa and Timucuan. I'd love to take the kids to a park or museum related to the Calusa but since they were in Southwest Florida, that's not happening. I can't do that right now. However, I hope to get them to several parks which share with us the natural environment of the Timucua. UNDONE
2. Make an Autumn Tree. We'll take the woods to find a twig shaped like a tree and then decorate it with fall-colored leaves of construction paper and use it for our Autumn decorating in our home. UNDONE
3. Get back to hiking: I said this on my last goal planning post but life took a different turn. Still, it is time and these studies of Florida history along with the cooler temperatures are a perfect mix to bring us back into the forests of Florida. UNDONE
4. Make and A-B-C book with Granddaughter. I've gathered a bunch of magazines from our local Freecycle group and plan to help her make her own book of A-B-C's. This way she'll be associating the letters with things she picked out (A is for apple but if she wants to use a picture of an alligator, that works too!) herself. And it will give her something productive to do while my own children are doing lessons. UNDONE
5.
6.
In addition to those things UNDONE from last week, I am adding ....
This Week's Goals
1. Plan field trips: I am supposed to meet with Heather at Parks and Recreation to schedule out some field trips for our homeschool group. As well, Lorelai is joining the ECHO Rangers.
2. Majorly Clean: It's been a month since my last major cleaning (I do this according to the same checklist I use for customers) and it's certainly time again. I guess the only thing not on that list is "pull out all of the furniture to vacuum the dog-hair-tumbleweeds" !!!
What are YOUR goals for the week? Please comment and, if you're a blogger, why don't you join the link up at Mama Manuscripts!?
Happy Homeschooling!

Looks like you have some good goals. Sorry you did not get the job you were hoping for. God know all your needs and prayerfully has something way better out there for you. I hope you had success and were able to accomplish some of your goals from the last few weeks that you haven't had time to get to and some of your new goals. Looks like you have accomplished some things already. It must be hard to be a single parent and in charge of homeschooling, discipline, and supporting your family financially. I pray God provides all your needs. See you tomorrow when we link up again.
Thanks for your kind words, Debbie! Come again!
