Year 4
A New Year on the Horizon
Our homeschool year is quickly coming to an end. In March we'll have our post-Term break and on April 1st, we'll resume lessons. This year things are going to be a little different due to the changes in History that we've made. I want to spend brief amounts of time on the time periods that we "should" have already covered so that we can move forward and by fall be more along the lines of where I wanted us to be by then. (Catching up to my own schedule!) We're going to cover a few time periods this year rather than one.
Although I'm usually quite opposed to concurrent studies of history, I will be adding in U.S. History because we'll be traveling to Georgia and Tennessee which will offer us plenty of opportunities for historical field trips. I'd like the girls to have some idea of what it is we're visiting or seeing. But I'll add that in later.
I've written our curriculum overview to cover April 1, 2012 thru March 31, 2013. Rather than a generalized overview, I've written it out by term to help keep myself "on track". (Bite-size pieces are always easier to chew, right?)

What are you using for Foreign Language?
I teach them Spanish and Sign Language myself. Alexis has been teaching herself Japanese (not sure how..but she has) and now she's trying busuu.com for languages.
What grades/ages are these for?
We don't do grade levels. This would be my "Year 4" curriculum regardless of ages. The only exceptions would be science, math, grammar and their independent reading (which I label literature). If my kids were in school, they would be 4th and 9th grades in the Fall of this year.
